About The Author
Bruce Wayne Linafelter was born in Allen, Nebraska where he graduated from high school. He received a bachelors degree in Fine Arts Education from Wayne State College and a masters degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado. After teaching instrumental music in Nebraska, he was a regional sales representative and later national sales manger for the oldest fundraising company in the US. Upon retirement, he, and his wife, Bonnie relocated to Loveland, CO. They are proud parents of daughters, Karisa, Erica, and her husband, Jason, and three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Anna, and Aaron. Bruce enjoys DIY projects, exploring the Colorado mountains in his restored 1949 CJ2A Willys Jeep, fishing, and playing pickle ball. Bruce and Bonnie are members of Front Range Baptist Church in Ft. Collins CO where they play in the church orchestra. They are also members of the Loveland Concert Band. He is currently serving as board treasurer for Baptists for Israel Institute. Through Baptists for Israel Institute, Bruce and Bonnie host trips to Israel.
Bruce has taught Sunday school classes for over 40 years to middle schoolers through adults. His book came from a lesson in an adult Sunday School class when the Israelites took the ArK of the Covenant into battle with them thinking it would bring them victory rather than consulting with God first. We are all guilty of going out on our own rather than considering God’s plans for us first.
God cares about every aspect of our lives! When we look for God in every situation, we will find Him. There is nothing in our lives – good (blessings), times when bad things didn’t happen that could have (protection), or times when we just wonder where God is (in school) that happen by chance, coincidence, or luck. My prayer is that through the pages of the book or the stories on this website, every reader will come to the knowledge that God cares and wants a personal relationship with each one of us.
